RICHMOND, Va. – William & Mary freshman lacrosse standout
Nora Begley was selected as the CAA Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week following a pair of impressive performances in the Tribe's matchups versus Richmond and Longwood.
The award marks the second consecutive week in which a W&M student-athlete has garnered the distinction, as
Mila Millhouse earned the recognition last week.
Begley finished the week with four points (3g, 1a) and two draw controls. Here best performance came in the victory at George Mason where she recorded a pair of goals, including the score that proved to be the game-winner, as well as a draw control. She also registered two points (1g, 1a) with a draw control versus Richmond.
This season the Laytonsville, Md., native has totaled eight points (6g, 2a), three draw controls and two ground balls.
W&M will return to action when it hosts Coastal Carolina at Martin Family Stadium this Saturday (Feb. 28) at noon. The contest will be the Tribe's alumni & family game.
