W&M-Monmouth All-Time Series
Saturday's game will mark just the fourth meeting between W&M and Monmouth, as the Hawks own a 2-1 edge in the series. MU claimed the first two matchups in 2023 and 2024 before W&M earned a 17-11 victory last season in Williamsburg.

Last Meeting vs. Monmouth
W&M earned an impressive 17-11 victory against Monmouth at Martin Family Stadium last season. Although W&M led by just two, 10-8, entering the fourth quarter, it outscored the Hawks 7-3 during the final 15 minutes of action en route to earning the conference win. Sophia Chiodo Ortiz's career-high four goals, coming on just five shots, led a balanced attack for W&M as nine different players found the back of the cage. W&M outshot MU, 36-28, which included a 29-22 margin in attempts on goal. The Tribe owned a 21-13 advantage in ground balls and committed three fewer turnovers (11-14). Both teams tallied 15 draw controls apiece, but W&M won seven of 10 during the decisive fourth quarter.

Last Time Out
W&M utilized an outstanding performance during the fourth quarter to earn a 12-10 victory against UMBC in a neutral site game at Gainesville High School on Wednesday evening. Although W&M trailed by a goal after three quarters, it opened the final stanza with five unanswered scores to build a commanding lead it would not relinquish. Taylor McCall provided the final two goals to help seal the win, as she finished the contest with team highs in goals (4) and draw controls (6).

Record Breaker
Kate Draddy made history in the win against UMBC by becoming the program's all-time leader in draw controls, as her five draw controls increased her career total to 179 – breaking the previous mark of 177 set by Sarah Cipolla (2020-23).

Heating Up
After scoring nine goals during the first eight games this season, Taylor McCall has matched that total during the past two contests – scoring nine goals on 14 shots (.643) in the Tribe's contests against Towson and UMBC.

Impressive Defensive Efforts
During the last four games, W&M has held its opponents to just 8.5 goals per game. Additionally, W&M has limited four of its opponents to less than 10 goals this season and is 4-0 in those contests. The efforts mark the first time since 2023 that W&M has held at least four opponents to less than 10 goals.

Underclassmen Impact
W&M's freshmen and sophomores have scored 72.3 percent (81 of 112) of the team's goals this season, as five the Tribe's top six scorers are underclassmen.

Elite Effort
Freshman Mila Millhouse's seven goals in the win against Drexel tied for sixth in the Tribe's record book and marked the most goals scored by a freshman in the country this season.

Narrow Margins
W&M has won all four of its games decided by fewer than two goals this season, as it earned wins against Geoge Mason (14-12), Coastal Carolina (9-7), Xavier (8-7) and UMBC (12-10).

Record Watch
Jaylin Locke is currently ranked tied for eighth at W&M in career caused turnovers (55) and needs just six more to pass Becca Hall for seventh.

Goalie Marin Wilhelm currently ranks 10th at W&M with 267 career saves and needs 52 to pass Lisa Dixon for ninth.

CAA Defensive Player of the Week
After helping lead W&M to a victory against Coastal Carolina, sophomore standout Sophie Busam was selected as the CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week. En route to helping the Tribe limit Coastal Carolina to just seven goals, including just one score in the final 26:19, Busam totaled a career-high three caused turnovers to go with four ground balls.

CAA Rookie of the Week Honors
After posting outstanding performances, a pair of W&M standout freshmen have been selected as the CAA Rookie of the Week this season. Mila Millhouse earned the honor twice (Feb. 16 & March 16), while Nora Begley garnered the distinction on Feb. 23.

Snapping a Streak
W&M's 13-7 win against Drexel on March 14 snapped the Dragon's eight-game winning streak in the series.

Big Margin
W&M's 20-5 victory against Longwood in its home opener marked the program's largest margin of victory since its 21-3 win at Stetson in 2013. Additionally, the Tribe's goal total marked the program's highest scoring output since 2022 when it earned a 20-15 win at Campbell, while the defensive performance marked the fewest goals allowed by W&M since 2020 when it defeated Old Dominion, 11-4.

Overtime Success
The Tribe has won four of its last six OT games dating back to 2019.

Academic Excellence
During the fall, W&M was once again recognized for its academic excellence as it recorded the second-highest Federal Graduation Rate (FGR) among all Division I public institutions. Lax helped lead the way and earned a 100% GSR for the eighth straight season. Additionally, 24 standouts were named to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll during the fall semester.

Up Next
Following this weekend's game at Monmouth, W&M will continue its conference slate when it plays at Elon next Saturday.
