RICHMOND, Va. — William & Mary had a pair of infielders earn weekly all-conference recognition this week as
Jamie Laskofski was named the CAA Player of the Week while
Matthew Kosuda earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors.
Laskofski batted .545 (6-for-11) with two triples, four runs and five RBI in the Tribe's series win over Binghamton. On Friday, the Burke, Va. native had a 3-for-5 day at the plate with a pair of runs. On Saturday, Laskofski went 2-for-3 with a three-run triple to key a 10-5 victory in the first game of a doubleheader.
For the year, Laskofski is hitting a torrid .455 with eight RBI in six games.
Kosuda went .500 (5-for-10) in the Binghamton series, adding a double, homer, and six RBI. The redshirt freshman went deep in Friday's contest with a three-run homer before following up with a pair of multi-hit games in Saturday's doubleheader.
Kosuda upped his season batting average to .364. He's totaled six RBI in the first two weeks while slugging .545.
