Sallman Earns Second CAA Weekly Honor of Season

2/16/2026 1:04:00 PM

RICHMOND, Va. — After a dominant double-double performance in a home victory over Towson, Jana Sallman has been named the CAA Co-Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. She shares the honor with UNCW's Rori Cox.

Sallman earns the weekly recognition for the second time this season after recording a career-high 25 points to go along with 12 rebounds and four blocks in the Tribe's 75–70 win over the Tigers. The victory completed William & Mary's first season sweep of Towson since 2020 and marked the Tribe's third win in its last four games.

The Cairo, Egypt native shot 10-of-15 from the field and added five made free throws, controlling the paint on both ends of the floor. Her 12 rebounds led the team, and her four blocks anchored a defensive effort that helped William & Mary build a 20-point second-half lead before holding off a late Towson rally.

Sallman is now a two-time CAA Player of the Week honoree this season, accounting for two of William & Mary's three weekly awards in 2025-26. Monet Dance claimed the Tribe's other Player of the Week honor earlier this year.
