Men’s Tennis Announces 2025 Fall Schedule

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. –  William & Mary head men's tennis coach Jeff Kader '05 announced the Tribe's 2025 fall schedule on Monday. The ledger comprises eight events, including three ITA competitions that serve as qualification for the NCAA Individual Championships in Orlando, Fla., Nov. 19-23.

The Tribe opens the fall season at the Porters Neck Invitational, Sept. 12-14, for the third consecutive season. The event is hosted by CAA rival UNCW.
 
W&M returns to the state of Virginia for four-straight events, beginning with the NYCC College Tennis Invitational, Sept. 19-21. The Green and Gold traveled to compete in the event at the Norfolk Yacht Club each of the previous two seasons.
 
The Tribe takes part in the Liberty Dual for the second year in a row the following weekend, Sept. 26-28, at the Liberty Tennis Complex in Lynchburg.
 
For the seventh time in the last eight years, the Tribe will compete at the River City Open at both the University of Richmond and the Collegiate School. The event is slated for Oct. 3-5.

The ITA Atlantic Region Championships are set for Oct. 9-13 in Blacksburg, Va. The event will be hosted by Virginia Tech at the Burleson Tennis Center. The draw size for the regional will be singles: minimum of 64-player main draw and minimum of 64-player qualifying, and doubles: minimum of 32-team main draw and a minimum of 32-team qualifying draw. From this, the two singles finalists and the doubles champion will qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. 
 
The ITA will host a pair of qualifiers for the NCAA Individual Championships on Nov. 6-9. The first is the ITA Conference Masters Championships in San Diego, Calif., and the second is the Sectional Championships in Chapel Hill, N.C. For the Sectional Championships, the draw size will be 32 players for singles and 16 teams for doubles with six singles players (semifinalists, two quarterfinal playoff winners) and three double teams (champion, finalist, third place) qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
 
The Conference Masters Championships will have a draw size of 32 singles players and 32 doubles teams with four players qualifying in singles (semifinalists) and three doubles teams (champion, finalist, third place). Each NCAA AQ-eligible, DI conference will designate one singles player and one doubles team from each gender to participate in the event.
