WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - William & Mary Athletics announced the promotion of Ray Eady and Reid Peters within the Tribe's Sports Performance Department.

In his sixth year at W&M, Eady moves into the Director of Sports Performance position, overseeing all aspects of the department and the development of the Tribe's 500+ student-athletes. Eady joined W&M in 2019 and has overseen all sports performance aspects for the men's basketball program throughout his tenure.

Peters, who is in his third season in Williamsburg, was promoted to the Director of Football Performance. He was the top assistant for the Tribe football program over the last three season, including during the 2022 CAA Championship season. Peters also was the primary sports performance coach for the women's basketball, field hockey and tennis programs.

Eady came to Williamsburg with 13 years of experience at the collegiate level spending time at the University of Wisconsin (2008-15), the University of Akron (2004-08), Northeastern University (2003-04) and Holy Cross (2002-03).

During his seven years in the University of Wisconsin Sports Performance Department, Eady worked with women's basketball from 2008-2015 and with men's basketball during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. The Badgers advanced to the Final Four during both his seasons with the men's program, including an appearance in the 2015 national title game. On the women's side, the Badgers advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2010 and had a pair of WNIT appearances in 2009 and 2011.

The Akron men's basketball program averaged 23 wins per season and 12 in Mid-American Conference play during his tenure. Akron tied the school record for wins (26) and won the MAC East Division title in 2007. The Zips advanced to NIT In both 2006 and 2008. Along with his time with the men's and women's basketball programs during his four years at Akron, he worked with the softball, soccer, tennis, and baseball programs as well as assisting with the Zips Football team. Eady also received his master's degree in sports exercise physiology and adult fitness from Akron.
A former wide receiver and defensive back at Winona State, Peters previously worked as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Warner University in Florida in 2021-22. He oversaw all aspects of the department and the development of 23 teams including football.

A graduate of Winona State, he started his career as an intern strength and conditioning coach for the Warriors. Peters was the strength & conditioning Intern for the Central Florida Football Program in 2019 and served as the assistant strength & conditioning coach for New Hampshire football in 2019-20.

Peters returned to Winona State and earned his Master of Science in educational leadership and sports management in 2021. He served as a graduate assistant strength & conditioning coach where he worked with football, baseball, volleyball, and women's basketball.

Peters is CSCS certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association and USAW-Lv.1 certified through United States Weightlifting. He is a Certified FRC Mobility Specialist (FRCms) and ALTIS Short Sprints Certified.
