WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — The William & Mary track and field teams will make the short trek over to Virginia Beach for the East Coast Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The meet will be hosted at the Virginia Beach Sports Center and is co-hosted by the University of Virginia. The action gets underway on Friday at 3 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
W&M had four top-10 marks at the Penn State National Open last weekend. Senior sprinter
Melissa Cunningham ran a career-best in the 200m (24.76), which ranks fourth on the Tribe's career list. She posted the sixth-best all-time performance in 60m as well, crossing the line in 7.70 during the prelims on Friday. Cunningham owns four of the top six performances in W&M history in the event.
Senior
Kyra Holland finished eighth in the 3000m in a time of 9:26.69, good for seventh on the all-time list.
In the pole vault, sophomore
Elizabeth Strobach posted a mark of 3.90m (12-9.5), finishing in seventh. The height tied Strobach's career mark, which also ranks fifth in school history.

ABOUT THE MEET
The East Coast Invite will feature programs from the SEC, ACC and Ivy League, among other conferences. Competing teams include Norfolk State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, co-hosts Virginia, Princeton, and William & Mary.
