RICHMOND, Va. — Three William & Mary baseball players were named to the 2025 CAA Baseball Preseason All-Conference Team, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon. Graduate OF Ben Parker and senior RHP Carter Lovasz were named to the All-Conference Team, while graduate RHP Zack Potts earned honorable mention recognition.

Parker put together a spectacular campaign in 2024, slashing .335/.472/.573 en route to earning All-CAA second team honors. The Los Altos, Calif. native mashed 10 home runs with 48 RBI and 49 walks, the second-most free passes in single-season program history. His 69 runs were also the fifth-most in a single year.

Lovasz, one of three relief pitchers tabbed to the all-conference squad, was a shutdown closer in 2024, posting a 3.12 ERA with seven saves in 18 appearances. He held opponents to a .219 batting average and 1.15 WHIP. His 19 career saves are the most in program history.

Potts made an immediate impact in his first season with the Green & Gold last year, tossing a 3.84 ERA in 70.1 innings with a 6-5 win-loss record. A native of Oilville, Va., he led the CAA in fewest walks per nine innings (1.79) and was second in strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.36), and ranked top-60 in the nation in both categories.
