GENEVA, N.Y. – William & Mary senior Pyper Friedman was named a 2024 NFHCA Division I Scholar of Distinction, the organization announced on Friday. Friedman earned the honor for the fourth time in her career.

The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2024-25 academic year.

An All-CAA First Team selection for the second time in her career, Friedman started all 17 matches for the Tribe in 2024, totaling five points on two goals and an assist. Her lone assist came on the game-winner in W&M's 2-1 win over Delaware on Oct. 11. She scored goals in the Tribe's rivalries with Richmond and Old Dominion.

Friedman was named a Third Team NFHCA All-American in 2023. She was also named to the NFHCA All-South Region First Team as a junior. Friedman finished her career ranked 12th in W&M history with 69 starts and 14th in assists with 15. She also tallied 13 goals and 41 points in her 71 career games.
