RICHMOND, Va. — William & Mary middle blocker Ryann Love was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in the Tribe's weekend sweep of Hampton, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Love recorded 13 total blocks over two matches, including three solo. It was the most blocks by any CAA player over the weekend, despite playing just six sets, as Love averaged 2.17 blocks per set.

The senior from Chesapeake, Va. recorded her 200th career block in Friday's victory, becoming the 14th Tribe player in the rally-scoring era to reach the plateau. On Sunday, Love stuffed nine attempts in a 3-0 win over Hampton, tying for the most in a three-set CAA match this season.

She is the first W&M player to earn CAA weekly honors this season.
