WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The No. 12/13 William & Mary football team will conclude its non-conference slate when it hosts Furman at Zable Stadium on Saturday at 6 p.m.

NMDP.org (National Marrow Donor Program, formerly Be The Match), opportunities to join the donor registry will be available throughout the stadium. W&M will also honor its Hall of Fame Class of 2024 during the contest.

W&M will look to wrap up its non-conference slate with a 3-1 record, and post a 3-0 mark against teams from the Southern Conference, when it hosts Furman on Saturday. The Tribe bounced back from a setback at Coastal Carolina with a 28-21 win at Wofford last weekend. The Tribe currently ranks second in the CAA and 15th nationally in rushing (196.7), while it is sixth in the country in third down conversion percentage (.512). W&M also ranks among the nation's top 30 in scoring offense (30.0), total offense (397.7) and passing efficiency (142.83). Defensively, W&M ranks fourth nationally in passing efficiency defense (93.71) and 12th in third down conversion defense (.278).
After opening its season with back-to-back losses to No. 6 Mississippi and Charleston Southern, Furman earned a 48-7 win against Stetson last Saturday. The Paladins are led by freshman quarterback Trey Hedden who has thrown for 487 yards and three touchdowns, while Joshua Harris has posted 13 receptions for a team-high 257 yards with two touchdowns. Defensively, Evan DiMaggio leads the Paladins with 20 tackles, while Xavier Stephens has posted three sacks.
Saturday's game will mark the 16th meeting between W&M and Furman, as the Paladins own an 8-7 edge. The teams last met in 2000 when Furman earned a 34-10 victory in Greenville, while the Paladins also won the last meeting in Williamsburg, 52-6, in 1999.
