W&M-Longwood All-Time Series
W&M leads the all-time series against Longwood, 21-2, and has won the last seven meetings.

Last Meeting vs. Longwood
W&M extended its winning streak to three games with a 14-7 victory at Longwood on March 22, 2023. W&M scored 12 unanswered goals to close the first half and built a comfortable 13-1 lead at the break. Although the Tribe scored just once in the second half, Longwood never got closer than the final margin as W&M cruised to the lopsided non-conference win. Ten different Tribe players found the back of the cage, as it marked the third consecutive contest in which at least nine W&M players scored at least one goal. Ainsley Huizenga led the Tribe with her first career hat trick as she scored on all three of her shot attempts. She also added a team-high three draw controls and an assist.

Last Time Out
Squaring off against a top-15 opponent for the second time in three days, the William & Mary lacrosse team fell to No. 14 Penn, 18-7, at Martin Family Stadium last Friday. Maresa Moyer and Justyce Barber led the Tribe with two goals apiece, while Kate Draddy recorded a team-high four ground balls with two draw controls and an assist.

Overtime Success
With the 12-11 victory at George Washington earlier this season, W&M has won four of its last five overtime games dating back to 2019.

Seizing the Moment
During the last two seasons, W&M has posted a 5-1 record in games decided by just one goal.

Record Watch
One of the most successful goalies in school history, Elise Palmer is ranked seventh in school history in career saves (332). She needs 54 more saves to pass Carlen Sellers for sixth on the all-time list.

Caroline Hertzberg currently ranks 10th all-time at W&M in draw controls (104), while her 51 career caused turnovers is just one shy of moving into the program's all-time top-10 list.

Courtney Vasquenza is also closing in on W&M's top-10 list for caused turnovers with 38.

Up Next
Following the game against Longwood, W&M will return to action when it begins its conference slate at Hofstra and Monmouth next weekend.
