SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The William & Mary men's gymnastics team posted its best score of the season but was defeated in a dual meet at Springfield, 397.85-385.05, on Sunday afternoon.
 
Sam Lee and Ricky Pizem highlighted the Tribe's individual performances, as both won event titles. Lee posted the top score on vault (14.45), while Pizem earned a winning score on high bar with a career-best 13.5. Lee also tied for second on parallel bars with teammate Jared Noyman, as both gymnasts registered a 13.2 in the event.
 
Evan Sikra also garnered a top-three finish and placed third on high bar with a career-high 13.2, while Gavin Zborowski competed in all-around for the first time this season and placed second with a 78.85.
 
Trenton Peazant, Malcolm Baytop and Niko Greenly also helped lead the way, as all three recorded the team's top scores in various events – Peazant (floor, 13.15 – equaled season high), Baytop (pommel horse, 12.55 – season high) and Greenly (rings, 13.25 – career high).
 
In addition to earning its top overall total this year, W&M also tallied season highs in four events – floor (63.6), pommel horse (59.65), rings (63.9) and high bar (63.55).
