W&M News and Notes

- The Tribe and Navy meet for the fourth-straight year. The programs are former CAA rivals as the Midshipmen, like the Tribe, were among the league's founding members before departing in 1991.

- The Tribe is averaging 83.3 points per game and has eclipsed the century mark on two occasions. W&M's scoring production leads the CAA and ranks 33rd nationally. The Tribe's 109 points vs. Virginia University Lynchburg on Dec. 4 rank as the 10th most in a game in school history. W&M also recorded its first 100-point game against a DI opponent since 2018 in its 102-87 victory over Georgia Southern. In program history, the Tribe has averaged 80 or more points in just three seasons with a record of 85.0 in 2018.

- Senior forward Noah Collier has scored in double figures in seven of the last eight games and leads the Tribe, while ranking 17th in the CAA at 13.8 points per game. Earlier this season, he tallied a career-high 25 points at NC State. Collier is shooting 62.7% from the floor, which leads the CAA and ranks 18th nationally. He also leads the Tribe and ranks 16th in the CAA in rebounding (5.7).

- The Tribe connected on double-digit 3-pointers in each of its last three games and have accomplished the feat seven times this season. W&M is 5-2 in those games. W&M is shooting 44.1% (41-of-93) from 3-point range over the last three contests. The Tribe hit a season-high 18 3-pointers vs. VUL, the third most in school history.

- Brian Earl-coached teams are known among the fastest paced and highest scoring in the country. According to KenPom.com, W&M ranks 34th nationally in adjusted tempo (72.0) and 14th as well in shortest average possession length (15.3) this season. The Tribe also leads the CAA in fastbreak points at 14.3 per game, which also ranks 57th nationally. Over his last three years at Cornell, Earl's teams ranked among the top 25 nationally in adjusted tempo.

- Three-point shooting has been a key piece of Earl's offenses, and W&M is one of the top teams in the country from distance this season. W&M ranks fourth nationally in % of field goal attempts coming from 3 (52.3%), seventh in 3-pointers attempted per game (32.1), eighth in 3-pointers made per game (11.3), and 26th in % of scoring from 3-pointers (39.4%). Earl's teams ranked among the top 10 nationally in 3-pointers made and attempted each of his last two years at Cornell.

- In three of the last four games, the Tribe has shot better than 50% from the floor. W&M ranks among the national leaders in shooting. The Green and Gold leads the CAA and ranks 48th nationally in effective field goal % (56.0), which gives teams more credit for made 3-point field goals. According to KenPom.com, the Tribe ranks 25th nationally in 2-point %, shooting 58.5% inside the 3-point arc.

- W&M has used a deep rotation this season with as many as 13 players seeing time in the rotation. According to KenPom.com, W&M ranks 12th nationally in % of minutes played off the bench (42.9%). In total, 11 players are averaging 10 minutes and 10 are averaging at least five points per game.

- Over the last four contests, senior Gabe Dorsey, who was a Preseason All-CAA First Team choice, is 14-of-22 from 3-point range (63.6%). He is W&M's career leader in 3's per game (3.2) and moved up into fourth place on the Tribe's career 3-pointers list with 224. He is just 17 shy of third place. Dorsey currently ranks 63rd nationally in 3-pointers made (2.92) and 89th in 3-point % (40.2).
