Tribe News and Notes
- The Tribe and Pride have some close connections with Hofstra's new coaching staff. Former W&M associate head coach Hillary Fitts, who spent five seasons in Williamsburg, became the 13th head coach in Hofstra history during the off-season. She added former W&M standout and All-CAA performer
Lauren Curran to her staff as an assistant coach. Fitts and Curran helped lead W&M to a CAA title in 2023.
- W&M remained in the thick of the race for one of four spots in the CAA Tournament thanks to a thrilling 2-1 win over Delaware on Oct. 11. At 1-2, the Tribe is in a tie for the fourth and final spot with Monmouth. The teams meet to close out the regular season on Nov. 1.
- Junior
Kellen Richbourg scored both Tribe goals in the victory over Delaware. It was her first career brace and the first game-winning goal of her career. For her efforts, Richbourg was named the CAA co-Offensive Player of the Week. She scored on a hard shot from the top of the box with 6:33 remaining to lift W&M to the victory over Delaware. In CAA play, Richbourg is tied for the league lead in goals (2) and ranks third in points (5).
- Graduate student goalkeeper
Maddie George was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week after tallying 20 saves last week, including a nine-save performance in a victory over previous league unbeaten Delaware. The victory moved George into seventh on the program's all-time wins list. In the Tribe's match on Sunday, George notched double-digit saves for the seventh time in 11 matches with 11 against VCU.
- George leads the CAA and ranks second nationally in saves per game at 10.08. For the year, she has 121 saves, which are the most for a W&M goalkeeper since 2002.
- George ranks among the top Tribe goalkeepers in school history. She currently ranks fifth in saves (342), seventh in saves per game (5.34), wins (24), and shutouts (9), 12th in save % (.725), and 20th in GAA (2.16). Among active DI players, George ranks fourth nationally in career saves.

- The Tribe leads the all-time series with Hofstra at 17-8, but the Pride won last season in a shootout in Williamsburg. W&M holds an 8-2 cushion in Hempstead, N.Y., including five-straight wins.
