WILLIAMSBURG, VA.- William & Mary baseball is back at Plumeri Park for five games this weekend, beginning with a pair of midweek games with in-state foes. The Tribe (1-2) will open up the 2023 home slate against 0-3 Richmond Tuesday afternoon and take on Old Dominion (2-1) Wednesday. Both games are slated for a 3:00 p.m. first pitch start time.

William & Mary took one of three against Mercer over the weekend in Macon with both losses coming by just one run. Richmond was swept by Alabama, while ODU took a pair of games against St. Johns.
Starting pitching was strong for the Tribe as
Carter Lovasz,
Nate Knowles, and
Tom Mayer combined to allow just one earned run and strike out 11 over the opening weekend. Graduate pitchers
Cory Wall and
Rojo Prarie were electric, allowing zero runs and striking out 12 over 6.1 innings of work.
Cole Ragone belted a pair of homers over the weekend and is the early team-leader with four runs driven in.
Ben Williamson and
Nick Lottchea each had five hits over the weekend with the latter scoring a pair of runs and knocking in three. Freshman
Noah Zertuche scored twice and knocked in a pair on opening weekend.
