Tribe News and Notes
- The Tribe leads the all-time series with Drexel at 14-10, but the Dragons have won the last two, including a 7-1 victory in Philadelphia earlier this season. Prior to Drexel's last two wins, the Tribe had won six straight in the series. Friday is the first meeting between the two teams in the CAA Tournament.
- The Tribe will make its 27th appearance in the CAA Tournament and ninth in 11 years under head coach
Tess Ellis. W&M is 15-25 all-time in the CAA Tournament, including winning the league crown in 2018.
- W&M is the No. 3 seed in the CAA Tournament for the ninth time. The Tribe owns seven of its 15 wins in the CAA Tourney as the No. 3 seed. W&M has advanced to the championship match in three of its previous eight appearances as the No. 3 seed, including in 2017.
- The Tribe returns to Newark, Del., for the second time this season after knocking off Delaware, 3-1, earlier in the year.

Audrey Domovich each scored in the win. W&M's lone CAA Tournament Championship in 2018 came at Rullo Stadium in Newark as well.
- The Green and Gold won four of its final five regular-season matches heading into the CAA Championship. During the stretch, W&M knocked off CAA regular-season Champion Monmouth, 3-2, in Williamsburg on Oct. 20 to go along with wins over VCU (1-0 in OT), Queens (7-0), and Richmond (3-0).

Pyper Friedman earned All-CAA First Team honors for the first time in their career after being named to the Preseason All-CAA team to start the year. It marked the first time the Tribe had multiple first team picks since 2019.

Lauren Curran earned All-CAA honors for the second-straight year. After earning first team honors last season, Curran was named to the second team in 2023. It marked the seventh-straight season that the Tribe had at least three players named to the top two teams.

Mackinzie Brown and
Josie Mae Gruendel were named to the CAA All-Rookie team, giving the Tribe multiple selections for the sixth time and first since 2018. W&M was one of four teams with multiple All-Rookie picks.
- Curran finished the regular season on a tear, scoring seven goals in the last four games and earning back-to-back CAA Player of the Week honors. She scored two goals in the win over Monmouth, including the game-winner, and added the program's first hat trick since 2018 with a trio of tallies in the win over Queens. On Wednesday, Curran was named the NFHCA National Offensive Player of the Week.
- Curran has been one of the top offensive weapons in the CAA, ranking among the top five in the league in nearly every category – shots (2nd - 74), shots on goal (2nd – 47), goals (3rd – 11), game-winning goals (3rd – 3) and points (5th – 25).
- Over the last 12 games, graduate student
Audrey Domovich has registered all 17 of her points on seven goals and three assists. She ranks among the top 12 in the CAA in goals (9th – 7) and points (12th – 17). She also owns two game-winning goals during that stretch and produced two games with two goals in victories over Northeastern and Georgetown.

Maddie George has started every game in goal for W&M this season. She ranks fourth in the CAA with a GAA of 2.00 and third in shutouts with two. For her career, George ranks among the program's all-time best coming in ninth in wins (20), 10th in shutouts (7), 11th in saves (188), and 17th in GAA (1.86).

Maddie McGaughey leads the Tribe and ranks sixth in the CAA with six assists on the year. She has an assist in each of the Tribe's last two wins over Richmond and Queens. Three of McGaughey's six assists came in CAA play, including two in the Tribe's 2-1 win over Northeastern on Sept. 22.
- With her standout season, Curran has continued to etch her name in the Tribe record book. She ranks seventh in game-winning goals (8), 11th in goals (31) and 15th in points (66) over her four seasons at W&M. Her goals per game mark of 0.56 is 10th in school history, while her 1.2 points per game is seventh.
- Friedman was twice named the CAA Player of the Week in 2023. She earned her most recent honor on Sept. 18 behind two goals, including the game-winner, at Towson. Friedman also earned player of the week honors after scoring both Tribe goals in a 2-1 upset of then-No. 12 Wake Forest on Sept. 1. Both contests were the first two-goal games of Friedman's career.

Tess Ellis against Top-20 opponents, including the fourth over the ACC. Last season, W&M topped three top-20 opponents, including No. 6-ranked Liberty.
