WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — After an open date last week, the No. 13 William & Mary football team will return to action when it hosts Towson for
Homecoming at Zable Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

W&M Athletics, in conjunction with the W&M Police Department, has implemented a clear bag policy that regulates the size and type of bag that may be carried into W&M Athletics facilities during the 2023-24 year, including Busch Field, Kaplan Arena, Martin Family Stadium, Plumeri Park, and Zable Stadium. The game will be televised by
Cox YurView, while it will also be available with a

W&M will look to snap a two-game skid when it hosts Towson on Saturday and enters the contest with a 4-2 record overall and a 2-1 mark in CAA action. The Tribe currently owns a six-game winning streak at Zable Stadium and has won five of its last seven homecoming games. W&M enters the matchup with one of the nation's top rushing attacks and ranks eighth nationally with 239.7 yards per game on the ground. Additionally, the Tribe's offensive line ranks 15th nationally in fewest sacks allowed per game (1.0). Defensively, W&M leads the country in total defense (242.7) and ranks second in passing defense (140.0). The Tribe also ranks third nationally in scoring defense (13.5) and third down defense (.243), while it is sixth in sacks per game (3.17).
Towson is also coming off an open week and enters Saturday's matchup with a 2-4 overall record and a 1-2 mark in conference play. The Tigers' best win came at then-No. 14/17 New Hampshire, 54-51 (OT). Towson's defense is allowing 31.0 points per game. Offensively, TU has relied on a balanced rushing attack – Devin Matthews (51.7 rushing yds/gm) and D'Ago Hunter (51.3 rushing yds/gm), while quarterback Nathan Kent is averaging 194.3 yards per game through the air and 33.8 yards per game on the ground.
Saturday's game will mark the 19th meeting between W&M and Towson, as the Tribe won the initial seven meetings but has lost six of the last 10 matchups. W&M won last season's meeting, 44-24, at Towson and owns a 6-4 advantage in games played in Williamsburg.
