CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A trio of William & Mary women's golf student-athletes –
Stefanie Guizar Diaz,
Sarah Houle and
Cindy Zhou – were named to the 2021-22 WGCA All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced in July.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
Houle earned the honor for the second time in her career. She was an All-CAA First Team selection in 2022, turning in one of the best seasons in program history. Houle recorded the second-best stroke average in school history (74.67), while posting three top-5 and five top-10 performances.
Guizar competed in seven of the nine tournaments during her final campaign for the Tribe, posting an 81.38 stroke average. Her best finish came at the Elon Invitational when she finished 24th.
Zhou recorded a 79.59 stroke average, playing in all nine events. Her best finish was a 14th-place showing at the Elon Invitational.
As a team, the Tribe posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.42. W&M won the Elon Invitational during the fall season and posted top-three team performances at the Grandover Invitational (third) and the Kingsmill Intercollegiate (second).
