WILLIAMSBURG, Va.- Redshirt freshman
Chris Arias will represent the William & Mary men's track & field tomorrow at the NCAA Eastern Preliminary Round. Hosted by Indiana University, Arias will compete in the javelin at 2:00 p.m. to open the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Bloomington, Indiana.

This marks the second year in a row the Redbank N.J. native, will compete on the national stage. Arias set a career-best in the event at the Virginia Challenge this season throwing 68.35m. His mark ranks as the 16th best in W&M history. Arias also earned all-conference honors at the 2022 Colonial Athletic Association Championships as he was named Most Outstanding Field Athlete of the Championships after his winning performance in the javelin with a mark of 65.20m.
The Eastern Preliminaries
The top-48 competitors in each event in both East Region and the West Region advanced to the opening round competitions this week. In the javelin, the top 48 competitors will be narrowed down to 12 athletes who will advance to the NCAA Championship Finals, June 8-11 in Eugene, Ore.
