Box Score ELON, N.C.- William & Mary defeated Elon 4-3 Friday evening on the road to ensure a series win in the final three-game set of the year.
Casey Green picked up the win with a two strikeout performance over 2.0 innings and
Justin Pearson came on to close out the final out of the ninth for his first save of the year.

After a scoreless first, the Tribe got on the board with a pair of runs in the second.
David Hogarth led off with a bunt single and
Jack Cone followed with a single up the middle.
Joe Delossantos shot a double to left center to plate both runners.Â

Elon dent into the William & Mary lead scoring a run on one hit and a walk in the third inning, but
Matt Howat limited the damage. The Tribe would immediately get the run back as
Mark Trotta singled and later scored on an error in the fourth.Â

In the fifth, William & Mary tacked on as singles from
Ben Williamson and
Cole Ragone led off with singles and moved up 90 feet on Hogarth's sac bunt.
Jack Cone would lift a sac fly into deep right to plate the fourth run of the game.Â

Elon battled back, putting up a pair of runs in the ninth, but Pearson got his man to end the game. The Tribe will look for the sweep in tomorrow's 1:00 p.m. game.
