William & Mary Athletics Department was informed late Thursday evening by Notre Dame Athletics officials that logistical team travel issues will cause the cancellation of the Tribe's baseball series against the 12th-ranked Irish, previously scheduled for next weekend (May 6 – 7).
The Tribe (18-19 overall) were poised to host the 12th-ranked Irish (26-9) for the first time on the diamond.
Fans with tickets to these games have the option to exchange them for a game during the Delaware series (May 13-15), to apply the amount of purchase as credit for future ticket purchases, or to receive a full refund by June 30, 2022.
The Tribe baseball team sits in sixth place in the Colonial Athletic Association and is preparing for a critical conference series this weekend, as it will host Hofstra (18-17, 9-6 in CAA and tied for 3rd-place) in a three-game series, starting this evening at 5pm and continuing with games scheduled for 2pm Saturday and 1pm on Sunday.
