Noah Collier Joins William & Mary Men’s Basketball

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary head coach Dane Fischer announced the addition of 6-8 transfer forward Noah Collier (Mullica Hill, N.J. / Westtown School (Pa.) / Pittsburgh) to the Tribe men's basketball program on Thursday. Collier joins the Green and Gold after spending the first two years in the Atlantic Coast Conference at the University of Pittsburgh.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Noah to the Tribe Basketball family," Fischer said. "He is a tremendous athlete and is a high character individual who will be a great fit within our program. Noah has shown the ability to impact the game with his athleticism on both ends of the floor."

Collier played in 44 games over his two seasons at Pitt, including a pair of starts. Last season, he was a key reserve, appearing in all 32 games and playing nearly 10 minutes per contest. Collier scored a career-high seven points off the bench against CAA foe Towson on 3-of-3 in November and pulled down a career-high six rebounds, including four on the offensive end, against an NCAA Tournament team in Colgate. He turned in strong efforts as a reserve in ACC play as well at Notre Dame (four points and three rebounds), at Virginia Tech (five rebounds) and at Louisville (four points, two rebounds and a blocked shot).

"Noah presents matchup problems because of his ability to face up and drive the ball, play from the mid-post and score around the rim," Fischer added. "He is also capable of defending multiple positions and protecting the rim. Noah plays very hard and with great toughness and should make an immediate impact for us next season."

Collier was a highly regarded recruit out of the Westtown School (Pa.). He took part in the 2017 USA Men's Junior National Team Minicamp and participated in the 2017 USA Men's U16 National Team June training camp. Collier also was selected and attended the 2019 NBPA Top 100 Camp.

The Mullica Hill, N.J., native was ranked No. 32 among power forwards in the 2020 recruiting class by Rivals and listed No. 9 among best prospects out of Pennsylvania by 247 Sports.

At Westtown, he helped lead the Moose to four consecutive Friends School League titles, two Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association championships, and a 100-28 overall record, including a 39-1 mark in conference play. Collier scored over 1,000 points in his high school career and was a three-time FSL all-league and all-state selection. He played AAU with Team Final from sixth grade through 17U, including the final two years in the EYBL.

Collier was a two-time team captain and received the 2020 Jack Askoff Award in Life honors, given to Westtown player that demonstrates leadership and character on and off the basketball court.

Collier joins a trio of incoming freshmen to the Tribe roster for the 2022-23 season. 6-7 guard/forward Jack Karasinski (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Catholic Central) and 6-10 forward Charlie Williams (Carmel, Ind. / Carmel) joined the Green Gold during the fall signing period, while 6-5 guard Chase Lowe (Charlotte, N.C. / Weddington) signed with the program on the Wednesday, the first day of the spring signing period.
