WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Men's gymnastics standout
Aidan Cuy was selected as the William & Mary Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery after a tremendous performance in the Tribe's victory against Springfield.
En route to helping W&M earn the triumph with its best score of the season, Cuy was honored as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Gymnast of the Week after winning individual event titles on vault, parallel bars and all-around.
His all-around score (78.05) marked a career high and ranks eighth in the Tribe's record book.
Cuy's winning scores on vault (14.1) and parallel bars (13.65) also represented career bests, while he also earned a career-high on floor (13.05) en route to placing third in the event.
An outstanding student, Coy earned first-team All-America Scholar-Athlete distinction by the College Gymnastics association each of the last two seasons and has garnered W&M's Provost Award multiple times. The Warwick, R.I., native is majoring in mathematics with a concentration in applied mathematics.
