RICHMOND, VA.- Anna Porter and
Eleanor Stothoff of William & Mary Volleyball earned Second Team All-CAA honors as announced by the conference Wednesday morning. Freshman
Ryann Love was selected to the league's All-Rookie team.
Porter and Stothoff are the second Tribe teammates to earn postseason honors since 2009, Julia Brown and Kate Dedrick were both first team All-CAA in the 2021 spring season. Love is the first William & Mary freshman to be named to the All-Rookie team since Claire Farrell in 2018.
Porter's 419 digs on the season are third in the CAA and the fourth most by any Tribe player since moving to the current scoring format, seventh most in school history. The libero's 4.55 digs per set are the third best in school history, Porter recorded 4.62 digs per set in the spring 2021 season.
Stothoff leads the Tribe with 255 kills on the season and ranks sixth in the league with 3.23 kills per set, fifth most in school history under the current scoring format and the third best mark in a full fall season. The opposite side hitter had 15 or more kills in nine of the 22 matches in which she played.
Ryann Love was phenomenal pacing the Tribe with 80 blocks in her 17 freshman season and her 1.25 blocks per set are the most by any William & Mary player under the current scoring format. The 1.25 blocks per set paced all CAA freshmen and was the second best mark by any player in the league. The middle blocker had five or more blocks in over half of her matches, twice producing nine blocks, the most by any Tribe freshman since 2017.
Love, Porter, and Stothoff will be back in action Thursday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. as the Green and Gold take on Hofstra in the CAA quarterfinals.
