GREENSBORO, N.C.- William & Mary fell in five sets to North Carolina A&T Saturday in Greensboro. The win was the first in the CAA for the Aggies who joined the league this season.

Three Tribe players were in double figures as
Eleanor Stothoff,
Taylor Burrell, and
Sabrina Malcolm had 16, 14, and 10 kills respectively.
Amy Schwem dished out 30 assists and just missed a double-double with nine digs.Â

Emma Minnick added 17 assists and
Anna Porter's 13 digs were the most by any William & Mary player. Stothoff and
Ryann Love tied for the match-high with five blocks.Â

Burrell was a force immediately with six kills in the Tribe's 25-21 opening set win. Stothoff added four kills while Porter had five digs. The Green and Gold produced some scalding hot offense with a .370 hitting percentage, holding the Aggies to .207.Â

The Aggies bounced back to take a 28-26 marathon second frame. Stothoff slammed five kills and
Sabrina Malcolm added four, but the Tribe could not stop the A&T offense allowing 17 kills. William & Mary had 14 kills in the set, nine coming on assists from Schwem.

In the third, the Tribe got off to a hot start jumping out to a 6-2 lead. The Green and Gold would dominate for the majority of the frame, leading 23-10 at one point before the Aggies mounted a comeback. Stothoff's sixth kill of the set and 14th of the match would put away a 25-17 win for William & Mary.

North Carolina A&T was the team that rushed out to an early lead in the fourth, winning the first five points. Despite holding the Aggies to a .118 hitting percentage in the fourth, the Tribe could not capitalize and fell 25-17 as the hosts forced a final frame.Â

The A&T momentum would carry over into the fifth frame as the Aggies jumped out to a 5-1 lead. Seven attack errors would bite the Tribe as North Carolina A&T would sail to a 15-7 win in the deciding set.Â

The Tribe and Aggies will clash again on the courts Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.Â
