WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - William & Mary volleyball (11-7, 6-4) will take a three-match winning streak up to Maryland this weekend for a pair of matches with CAA preseason favorite Towson (20-1, 9-1). The Tribe and Tigers will face off at SECU Arena at 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Both games will be available to stream on flovolleyball.

Tim Doyle's team has won three straight matches, two of which were won in three sets. On Sunday, the Tribe took home a 3-0 sweep over Hampton, the seventh sweep of the season for the Green and Gold. The seven sweeps are the most by a Tribe team since the 2009 season.Â

Towson has lived up to its preseason billing as the CAA favorite, dropping just one match in 2022 with a win over No. 7 ranked Pitt on the resume. The Tigers have dropped just five sets in league play thus far.Â

William & Mary was masterful on offense last weekend, hitting a combined .307 as a team with 96 kills last weekend. Senior
Kaitlyn Ferguson crushed 23 kills over the weekend while hitting .385 and sophomore
Eleanor Stothoff slammed a team-high 30 kills on a .355 hitting percentage.Â

In CAA play, Stothoff has been phenomenal averaging 3.56 kills per set on a .284 hitting percentage. Stothoff ranks fourth in the league with 3.95 points per set, while
Taylor Burrell ranks ninth with 3.39 points per set and is slamming 2.86 kills per set in CAA matches.

Through 10 matches, the Tribe has won 24 of 39 sets in CAA play this season.Â

On the other side of the net, the Tribe held Hampton to less than .190 hitting in both matches last weekend. Freshman
Ryann Love accumulated 12 over the two matches and ranks third in the league and 50th nationally averaging 1.24 blocks per set.Â

Anna Porter recorded 30 digs over the weekend and now ranks fourth in William & Mary history with 1,030 career digs. The libero is 54th in the nation and third in the CAA with a 4.57 dig per set average.Â

Amy Schwem passed the 900 career assists mark last weekend and needs just 69 assists to reach 1,000 in just her second year on campus. Fellow setter
Emma Minnick crossed the 1,800 career assist barrier last weekend and has her sights set on the 2,000 assist milestone.Â
