Men's Soccer Hits the Road for Big CAA Match-up at Northeastern

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary men's soccer travels to Northeastern for a pivotal Colonial Athletic Association match on Saturday afternoon with both teams in the thick of the race for a league tournament berth. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. from Parsons Field in Brookline, Mass., and the contest will be broadcast on FloFC.

With two league matches remaining, the Tribe sits in sixth place in the CAA standings with nine points at 2-2-3. The top six teams qualify for the CAA Tournament. Northeastern (4-8-3) is one spot behind the Tribe in a tie for seventh with seven points at 2-4-1.

W&M (4-4-6) suffered a narrow 2-1 loss at NC State on Tuesday night. Sophomore Jack Crocco scored his first career goal in the opening half to draw the Tribe even, but the Wolfpack found the winner in the 87th minute.

Earlier in the week, freshman Lucas Caldas was named the CAA co-Rookie of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal in the Tribe's 2-1 upset of No. 10 Wake Forest on Oct. 11. Caldas was also named the W&M Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery.
