GENEVA, N.Y. – William & Mary senior
Tabby Billingham was named to the 2022 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Senior Team, the organization announced on Thursday.
The Division I Senior Game will take place in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Conn. The game is slated for a 2 p.m. start.
In total, 38 student-athletes were nominated by their NFHCA member coach and were chosen for the team based on their career accomplishments. The selected seniors are given the opportunity to represent their institution while competing against their peers.
Billingham has started all 15 games for the Tribe this season, playing shutdown defense and helping W&M rack up a trio of victories over nationally-ranked squads. Earlier this fall, the Green and Gold ascended to its highest national ranking since 2004 at No. 16 spent six straight weeks in the top-25 poll.
On Friday, W&M will honor its 8-member senior class and pair of graduate students, hosting Towson for Senior Day at Busch Field. The match will be broadcast on FloLive at 5 p.m.
