WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Sophomore
Kyra Holland outdistanced the field by 24 seconds and William & Mary women's cross country team cruised to the 2021 W&M Invitational title, placing 10 runners among the top 11 on Friday evening at the Dunbar Farms Course at Eastern State Hospital.
Results
The Tribe (15) topped instate foe Hampton (50) in the team standings.
Holland led the way, running the 5K course in a time of 19:01.37 to claim the top spot. A trio of freshmen placed second, third and fourth for the Green and Gold.
Arianna DeBoer was the runner-up at 19:25.69 followed by
Lucy Young in third (19:40.94) and
Annika Griggs (19:48.43). Sophomore
Emily Sell rounded out the top five at 20:16.18.

Molly Coyle (sixth),
Emily Morris (seventh),
Anna Cestari (eighth) and
Olivia Haller (10th) rounded out the Tribe harriers in the top 10. Sophomore
Jenny Gerson made it 10 Tribe runners among the top 11, placing 11th.
