WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary men's gymnastics team concluded its regular season slate with a 386.25-381.05 setback against Air Force in a virtual meet at Williamsburg Gymnastics on Saturday evening.
Cutter Fugett highlighted the Tribe's individual performances by winning the floor title with a season-high 13.7.
As a team, W&M defeated the Falcons in two of the six events – floor and high bar.
Event Recaps
Floor, 65.1 – Led by Fugett's winning performance on floor, W&M bettered Air Force on floor, 65.1-64.75.
Pommel Horse, 60.8 –
Christian Marsh was the Tribe's top scorer on pommel horse and placed second with a 13.15.
Rings, 63.45 –
Zane Petras led W&M on rings and recorded a 13.0 to narrowly miss out on a spot among the top three.
Vault, 66.25 –
Jordan Kula earned a career-high 13.85 on vault and placed second.
Parallel Bars, 63.1 –
Sam Lee (13.15) and
Ian Creelman (12.85, equaled a season high) led the way on parallel bars and placed second and third, respectively.
High Bar, 62.35 – Creelman (13.0) and
Alek Kuzmenchuk (12.95) placed second and third, respectively, on high bar to help W&M win the event as a team.
