Prep and Personal
Having grown up between Seattle, Amsterdam, London, and Moscow, Zane brings some very unique and exciting experiences to the team … While he has not competed at the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympics, Zane did finish 2nd on High Bar at the Junior 1 Dutch Nationals in 2014 and qualified for 2016 Vault finals at the Voronin International Cup in Moscow … Zane has traveled to more than 50 countries, applying his incredible work ethic to volunteer with refugees in Greece, and build schools in Cambodia, Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, to name a few … Zane also speaks Dutch fluently, and has used his skills interning with Translators without Borders … Having served as Treasurer of the National Honor Society, a fundraising committee member for the Anglo-American School Ambassadors, and a math and science tutor, Zane’s commitment to service and education are readily apparent … It is no surprise that, while Zane plans to major in Math with a minor in Philosophy, his intention is to pursue a career in teaching. We look forward to the contributions Zane will make in the gym on Floor, Parallel Bars, Rings, Vault, and High Bar, but are just as excited about the ways he will carry forward the Tribe tradition of service.
