- The Wolfpack is the third and final ACC opponent for W&M this season. The Tribe led No. 11 Virginia Tech 1-0 and 2-1 at home before falling to the Hokies, 3-2, on Sept. 21. W&M fell at Wake Forest, 4-0, on Oct. 5. The Green and Gold owns six wins against the ACC in the last 11 years, including a pair of victories in 2017 (NC State and Virginia Tech). During head coach

- NC State holds a slim 5-4-1 advantage in the all-time series with the Tribe, including a 3-0 mark in Raleigh. The last time the teams met, W&M played the Wolfpack to a 1-1 draw in Williamsburg during the 2019 season. A year before, then-No. 4 NC State tallied a 2-1 overtime victory over the Tribe in Raleigh.
- NC State enters the match-up with W&M at 6-5-2 and 0-4-2 in ACC play. The Tribe and Wolfpack have one common opponent in Wake Forest. W&M dropped a 4-0 decision at Wake Forest, while the NC State played to a 1-1 draw with the Deacs. Last week, the Wolfpack downed High Point, 4-0, before falling to Virginia, 2-1, in home matches. Kuda Muskwe leads NC State with 10 points on four goals and two assists, while Luke Hille has four goals and an assist. Leon Krapf has started all 13 matches for the Wolfpack and owns a GAA of 1.20 to go with 35 saves and three shutouts.
- The Tribe's six losses this season have come to teams with a combined record of 52-18-9 (.715). Four of the six setbacks have come to teams in the national rankings. Last week, Virginia Tech was No. 5 and James Madison was No. 15 in the United Soccer Coaches Rankings, while Wake Forest (No. 18), Hofstra (No. 20) and Virginia Tech (No. 21) were in the Top Drawer Soccer's Rankings on Monday.

Alexander Levengood and
Diba Nwegbo lead the Tribe with four goals apiece. Both players ranked seventh in the CAA in goals per game (0.40). Levengood has scored three of his four goals in CAA play, while Nwegbo tallied his first career game-winning goal in the Tribe's 2-0 win over Drexel.
- Levengood recorded his first career game with two assists, providing the helper on both goals in the Tribe's win over Drexel. His three assists are tied for the team lead with junior
Nathan Messer, who also picked up his third assist vs. the Dragons.
- W&M posted its fourth shutout in the win over Drexel. The Green and Gold has shutout its opponents in all four of its wins in 2021. The Tribe ranks second in the CAA and 41st nationally in shutout %.
- Levengood leads the Tribe in points with 11 (4g, 3a), while Nwegbo is second at 10 points (4g, 2a). The Tribe juniors rank sixth (1.1) and seventh (1.0) in the CAA in points per game, respectively. Levengood is No. 99 nationally.
- For his career, Levengood has scored 14 goals in 33 games, including 11 goals against CAA foes. In the Top Drawer Soccer preseason conference rankings, Levengood was rated the ninth-best player in the league. Last season, he earned All-CAA First Team honors after leading the South Division in scoring.
- In the Tribe's first CAA road match at Hofstra on Sept. 25, Nwegbo scored the fastest goal in both league and school history. His goal was 12 seconds into the match marking the 19th quickest in NCAA history.
- Junior goalkeeper
Connor Andrews returned to the Tribe lineup for the first time since 2018 against Virginia Tech on Sept. 21. He has started six of the Tribe's last seven matches. Andrews posted back-to-back matches of six saves against Virginia Tech and at Hofstra and recorded shutouts in the league wins over Charleston and Drexel. He ranks fifth in the CAA and 75th nationally at 3.7 saves per game.
- As a team, the Tribe has placed 45 of their 94 shots on goal. W&M leads the CAA and ranks 26th nationally in shot accuracy at 47.9%. Individually, Nwegbo ranks fourth in the country in shooting accuracy (68%) and 31st in shots on goal per game (1.7).
