WILLIAMSBURG, VA.- William & Mary baseball has been awarded the 2019-2020 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award as announced by the organization Wednesday morning. The award highlights high school and collegiate programs coached by members of the ABCA that have a team GPA of 3.0 or higher for the full academic year. 
 
This season marks the fourth straight year that William & Mary has received the award. The Tribe was one of three CAA programs to be honored joining Hofstra and UNCW, and one of four Division I programs from Virginia. William & Mary is the only CAA team and the only Division I team from Virginia to claim the award in each of the last four seasons. 

Coach Murphy's team cruised to the award posting a 3.47 GPA in the spring semester. This season, 143 high school teams along with 280 programs from the NCAA Div. I, II, III, NAIA, and Junior College levels were recognized. For the full list of programs celebrated click here.
