Scouting the Tribe
Coach Doyle's Tribe is 4-4 on the season and coming off a 2-1 home weekend at the 2019 Colonial Classic. William & Mary downed UNCG and Iona in four sets before dropping the weekend's finale to Georgetown in three frames. Offensively the Tribe is led by the trio of
Julia Brown,
Kate Dedrick, and
Lauren Merrill each producing over three points per set.
Autumn Brenner has dished out 7.32 assists per frame, good for 5th best in the CAA. Brenner (13) and Merrill (10) rank fourth and tenth in service aces respectively powering the Tribe's strong presence at the service line. Defensively,
Julia Brown has been a force at the net ranking third in the league with 35 total blocks for an average of 1.13 per set.
Anna Porter ranks ninth with 105 digs, the most among all CAA freshmen.Â

Scouting the Pirates
The Pirates are looking to bounce back from last weekend's 1-2 showing at the Akron Invitational. Despite having a 3-8 record on the season the Seton Hall's offense has flexed its muscles of late as the Pirates have hit above .275 in two of their past four matches. Haylee Gasser has proven to be an offensive force with 104 kills through just 35 sets of action this season.Â

Scouting the Demon DeaconsÂ
Wake Forest (7-1) rattled off seven straight wins to start the 2019 season. Six of the Deacons' seven wins were three-set sweeps. Wake's lone misstep came in last Sunday's 3-2 loss to CAA's Elon. The ACC power has posted an impressive .303 hitting percentage, good for 11th in the NCAA while holding opponents to a .120 mark. Peyton Suess and Caitlyn Della lead the Wake Forest attack slamming home 3.36 and 3.32 kills per set. Wake middle blocker Olivia Saunders ranks third among all NCAA qualified attackers with a .537 hitting percentage.

Scouting the Patriots
George Mason will enter the weekend with a 3-6 record on the year. The Patriots are coming off a 1-2 weekend in College Park in which they defeated tournament host Maryland (3-2) but fell to Arkansas (3-1) and Princeton (3-0). The Patriots have been big at the net averaging just over 2.20 blocks per set. Peyton Ehmke has already racked up 32 blocks on the season in just 30 sets played. Offensively GMU is led by the triple threat of ShaLi Niu, Bailey Williams, and Siron Hardy each averaging over two kills per set.Â

William & Mary is 4-2 all-time against Seton Hall and holds a 3-1 mark against the Pirates in neutral site matches. The teams have not met since the 2013 season when Seton Hall got the better of the Tribe in a 3-0 win. The Green and Gold last faced Wake Forest in 2017. The Demon Deacons won the home match 3-1 and have a 3-6 series advantage. The Tribe owns a 41-31 lead in the storied rivalry with George Mason. The in-state foes have not faced off since the 2014 campaign.Â

Autumn Brenner has 228 assists on the season, bringing her career assist total to an impressive 1,964. Brenner is just 36 helpers away from becoming just the sixth player in Tribe volleyball history to reach the 2,000-assist mark. Brenner's 1,964 assists rank first among all William & Mary setters during the current scoring era.Â

Junior opposite side hitter
Kate Dedrick has been named to the All-Tournament Team in each of the Tribe's three preseason tournaments this season. The Texas native leads the Green and Gold with 2.65 kills per set and ranks second on the team with a .262 hitting percentage and 19 blocks. This past weekend, Dedrick shared All-Tournament honors with fellow junior

Anna Porter ranks ninth among all CAA players in digs and digs per set and first among all CAA freshmen in both categories. Cleaning up 105 digs in 31 frames, Porter has led the Tribe in scoops in six of the team's eight matches and has racked up at least 10 digs in six contests.Â
