WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's soccer hits the road for its first of two straight in the City of Brotherly Love when it travels to Saint Joseph's on Tuesday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Sweeney Field in Philadelphia. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
Scouting the Tribe
- W&M posted a pair of 1-1 draws last week against strong competition. The Tribe drew No. 24-ranked NC State on Tuesday, before earning a point in the CAA standings with a tie against UNCW on Saturday night. The Green and Gold is 0-2-2 on the year.
- Freshman goalkeeper
Kieran Baskett was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. He notched seven saves against the Wolpack and 11 stops against the Seahawks. Baskett finished last week with a goals against average of 0.82 and a .900 save %.
- Baskett's 11 saves against the Seahawks were the most for a W&M player since 1998 when Adin Brown tallied 12 against St. John's. The total was the most in a CAA game since 2015 and the eighth-most in the country this season.
- In the draw with UNCW, the Tribe scored 35 seconds into the match as freshman
Alexander Levengood notched his second goal of the season. It marks the fastest goal for the Tribe since it scored 18 seconds into a win over VCU in 2016.

Reeves Trott and freshman
Diba Nwegbo tallied assists on Levengood's goal against NC State. It was the sixth assist of Trott's career, while it was Nwegbo's first career point.
- Levengood ranks eighth in the CAA with two goals.

Cole Smith scored the Tribe's lone goal, notching the equalizer in the 83rd minute of the 1-1 draw with NC State.

Julian Ngoh is tied for the CAA lead with two assists on the year. He assisted on Tribe scores at High Point and against NC State.
- Baskett leads the CAA in saves (23), saves per game (5.75) and save percentage (.821), while ranking fourth in goals against average (1.12). His save total ranks 24th nationally, while his save percentage is 36th.

Alfredo Bozalongo have been the Tribe's ironmen so far in 2019. They are the only two W&M field players to play all 400 minutes.
- In total, over half of the Tribe's starts this season (23-of-44) have come from its underclassmen – freshmen and sophomores. The rookies own 17 of those starts.
Scouting Saint Joseph's
- The Hawks have won two of its last three matches with shutout victories over LIU (1-0) and Stony Brook (3-0). SJU is 2-3 on the year with its setbacks coming to Saint Peters, 2-1, Fairfield in OT, 1-0, and most recently at Marist, 1-0, on Saturday.
- Junior Ritchie Barry leads the Hawks in scoring with five points on two goals and an assist. Both goals for Barry, against LIU and Stony Brooke, were game-winners.
- Senior Leon Maric, junior Alvin Dahn, and sophomore Garrett Lyons each have three points on a goal and an assist through five matches.
- Sophomore Joseph Boehm has played every minute in goal for Saint Joseph's, sporting a 0.80 goals against average. He posted 32 saves to go along with two shutouts. Boehm posted 12 saves in the season opener with Saint Peter's and added 10 in the match with Fairfield.
- Both Barry and Maric were selected to the Preseason Atlantic-10 All-Conference team.
- The Hawks return nine starters and 17 letterwinners from a team that went 8-7-3 last season with a 2-3-3 Atlantic-10 record.
- SJU was predicted to finish eighth in the A-10's preseason poll.
Series History: W&M vs. Saint Joseph's
- W&M is 2-0 all-time against Saint Joseph's but will make its first visit to Philadelphia to take on the Hawks on Tuesday night.
- The teams first met in 2005 with the Green and Gold posting and 8-0 win.
