Tribe Mourns Loss of Student-Athlete

It is with deep sadness that the William & Mary Athletics Department shares the news of the loss of sophomore football student-athlete Nate Evans late on Thursday night.

Though he had yet to declare a major, Evans was interested in a career in public or global health and aspired to major in Kinesiology.  He was studying geology, American studies, film studies, and history this semester.

Since learning this tragic news, athletics department leadership and coaches, as well as student affairs staff have been offering direct assistance to those who were closest to Nate.

Funeral and/or memorial arrangements have not yet been announced.

A campus-wide gathering will be held Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m. at Kaplan Arena.

Statements from Campus:
