Junior Matthew Trehub then rocketed a three-RBI home run to right field.

Freshman Jack Cone led off the sixth inning with a double down the right line, before classmate Matt Thomas drew a walk. On the next at-bat, senior Kyle Wrighte blasted a two-RBI triple down the right line. Wright was platted on a double by Smith to make it an 11-3 affair.
