William & Mary Football Finalizes Class of 2019

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Feb. 6, 2019) – William & Mary Head Football Coach Mike London finalized his first recruiting class Wednesday, as he announced the addition of 10 talented student-athletes who will join the Tribe next season. The impressive group includes nine players who signed National Letters of Intent and a graduate transfer from Virginia Tech.

Wednesday's roster additions join a group of eight standouts who signed NLI's with W&M during the early signing period in December.

"We are very excited about our 2019 recruiting class," London said. "In a short time we have added some elite football players who will impact our roster in all phases of the game. We have added profile size, speed, and athleticism while addressing roster needs. We have a very thorough evaluation system, and we are thrilled with the outcome of the recruiting cycle. Attacking Virginia, our recruiting footprint, as well as expanding our reach into Canada, Georgia and Texas, we have found elite athletes with a competitive edge from well-respected high school programs. We expect our student-athletes to hold up the standards of 'Go to class. Show class. Treat people with dignity and respect.'"

The group consists of players from five states, Washington, D.C. and Poland: Virginia (3), Washington, D.C. (2), Maryland (1), North Carolina (1), New Jersey (1), Texas (1) and Poland (1).

W&M will open the 2019 campaign when it hosts Lafayette at Zable Stadium on Aug. 31.
