BROOKLINE, MASS. – The William & Mary baseball team ended up on the losing side of a 2-1 pitching duel in its CAA series finale at Northeastern on Sunday. The Tribe (15-26, 3-12) was held to three hits in dropping its third consecutive game to the conference-leading Huskies (23-13, 9-3).
For the third time in a row, NU started the afternoon with the scoring advantage after pushing across a pair of runs in the third inning. Mason Koppens doubled to left field and Charlie McConnell singled to center field to start the frame. Both runners then scored on a wild pitch and grounder to second base for the 2-0 Huskies' lead.
The Tribe quickly trimmed it to a one-run affair in the top of the fourth. Junior
