Mike McCarney Joins Tribe Athletics as Ticket Operations Manager

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary Director of Athletics Samantha K. Huge announced the addition of Mike McCarney as the department's Ticket Operations Manager. McCarney joins the Tribe after spending the previous four years as an account executive with IMG-Learfield Ticket Solutions at the University of Florida.
 
"We are thrilled to welcome Mike to the Tribe Family," Huge said. "His experiences at the professional and collegiate levels and his enthusiasm for William & Mary will allow him to have an immediate impact on our ticket sales and operations."  
 
During his time in Florida Athletics, McCarney was responsible for maximizing ticket revenue via football premium and stadium seating through season, group and partial plans. He generated over $950,000 in sales revenue for University Athletic Association. McCarney produced over $850,000 in Gator Booster contributions during football and basketball sales campaigns and solicited 11 New Bull Gator Memberships attributing $15,000 donations annually. He also coordinated and executed a state-wide member outing with Florida 4-H Youth Organization.

Prior to his time at Florida, McCarney served as a group sales assistant with Roger Dean Stadium, the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals. He worked to retain, drive and attract new business revenues. McCarney helped the GM of Palm Beach Cardinals on special projects such as organizing autograph sessions, community involvement, and player transportation. He worked to grow the fan base by developing group relationships through meetings, tours, and coordinated special events with corporate, charitable and social groups. McCarney also executed and coordinated the summer camp group program for the organization.
           
McCarney graduated in 2012 from California University of Pennsylvania with a degree in sport management. During his undergraduate career, he served as an event management assistant for the Vulcans' Athletics Department and also interned with the Trenton Devils Professional Hockey Club in sales, marketing and community relations.
