Phil Breno made it standup as the William & Mary men's soccer team won its fifth straight match with a 1-0 victory over Georgetown at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field on Tuesday night. With the win, the Tribe improves to 5-1-0, while the Hoyas fall to 1-5-0.
The five-game winning streak is now the longest since the 2010 season. W&M tallied seven straight victories from Oct. 6-27, 2010. That season the Tribe won the CAA regular season and tournament championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Third Round.

Georgetown was limited to just a pair of shots in the first half. Both of them came from Matt Ledder, who missed high, before pushing his second chance wide.
The Tribe closed the half strong and had two chances for its second goal. Eskay had a shot blocked in the 40th minute, before sophomore
Antonio Bustamante missed high a minute later.

The Hoyas fired seven of its 11 shots in the final 21 minutes of the match. The flurry started in the 69th minute when Christopher Lema sent a shot on frame, but Breno made the save. Again in the 77th minute, Bakie Goodman put a shot on target, but Breno made the stop.
Georgetown's best two chances came back-to-back in the 81st and 82nd minute. Goodman and Zack Knudson each put shots on target, but again Breno came up with the answer. The Hoyas mustered one final chance in the last minute, but Arun Basuljevic missed it high.
The College finished the matched with a 13-11 advantage in shots, but the Hoyas led 4-3 in shots on-goal. Eskay took a match-high five shots, while freshman
Reeves Trott added three shots.
Breno collected his third shutout of the season and the third in the last four matches. He picked up four saves as he lowered his season's goals-against-average to 0.67.
