The William and Mary volleyball team fell on the road Saturday night in conference action, losing to Towson 3-0. The Tribe is now 5-15 overall and 1-5 in the league, while the Tigers improved to 17-3, 4-2 in the CAA.

Sydney Biniak (Elkridge, Md.), who had nine kills on a .248 attack, two aces, and a block playing in her home state. Classmate
Paige Humphrey (Oak Hill, Va.) added six kills on a .267 attack, and
Austyn Ames (Wichita, Kan.) had 12 assists and six digs. Another Maryland native, sophomore
Stephanie Paul (North Bethesda, Md.), had 14 assists on the night.
Also of note,
Michelle Heath (Rustburg, Va.) had four kills, an ace, and a team-high eight digs, and
Sara Zumbach (Franklin, Tenn.) added another ace and seven digs. Junior
Carolyn Albright (Raleigh, N.C.) led W&M with a pair of blocks and added two kills, while classmate
Dessi Koleva (Torrance, Calif.) added three kills and a block.
Mallory Brickerd (Ashburn, Va.) made three kills with four digs, and senior
Liz Brown (Ellicott City, Md.) paired three kills and three digs.
After Towson won the first set 25-19, the Tribe made a late 9-4 run in the second set to tie things at 23-23 before the Tigers scored the last two points to win 25-23. Biniak had six of her kills in the second set alone. The third set looked like a tough one early, including a 5-0 run to put the Tribe up 10-8, before Towson showed why they are a conference favorite and pulled away to take the match.
William and Mary is back on the road on Tuesday night, playing at Liberty at 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN3.com.
