SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 6, 2013) – William and Mary men's gymnasts combined to win three individual event titles and seven all-conference honors at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Springfield College on Saturday evening.
Freshman Neal Courter won the floor (15.15) and vault (15.15) titles, while junior Landon Funiciello earned top honors on parallel bars (14.55). Funiciello also garnered all-conference distinction on vault, placing fourth (14.5), and rings, placing second (15.45), while Courter finished seventh on high bar (13.2).
Juniors Daniel Potemski and Sam Patterson also earned All-ECAC accolades, as Potemski placed fourth on high bar (13.45) while Patterson finished fourth on parallel bars (13.85). Potemski also competed in the vault finals and placed eighth with a 14.3.
W&M was also represented in the individual event finals on parallel bars by sophomore J.J. Jindra (12.5) and on pommel horse by classmate Jason Wang (13.25), as both gymnasts placed ninth in their respective events.
