Beth Bradley Hired as Tribe Women?s Basketball Assistant

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - William and Mary women's basketball head coach Debbie Taylor has announced the appointment of Beth Bradley to the position of assistant coach.  Bradley joins the Tribe from the University of Denver, where she served in a volunteer role for the Pioneers women's basketball program last season.

"I feel incredibly fortunate to be working with Coach Taylor and the rest of our staff," Bradley said.  "The energy that envelops Tribe athletics is electric and I'm thrilled to be a part of the culture and enthusiasm.  More than anything else, though, I am looking forward to working with our talented athletes, as we challenge and move each other to grow, develop and be better each day."

Prior to her time at Denver, Bradley was the Director of Basketball Operations at Old Dominion University for the 2010-11 season, under head coach Wendy Larry.  Her responsibilities at ODU included; team travel, scouting, scheduling, development, camp director and orchestrating team community outreach projects.  She was also the liaison to the marketing department and the Lady Monarch Pride booster club.

Bradley started her coaching career at the University of San Diego under head coach Cindy Fisher.  From 2008 to 2010, Bradley served as a graduate assistant for the Toreros.  Her duties at San Diego consisted of coordinating film exchange, assembling community outreach initiatives, game-day operations, monitoring study hall and academic progression, and coordinating summer camps.

Before breaking into the coaching ranks, Bradley was the Regional Development Manager for Operation Smile in Los Angeles, Calif.  Operation Smile is an international children's medical charity devoted to repairing the cleft lips and palates of children in developing countries.  While with the charity, Bradley wore many titles, serving as a keynote speaker at functions and conferences.  She continues her work with Operation Smile by volunteering and traveling to developing countries and raising awareness about Operation Smile's purpose and mission in the off-season.

Collegiately, Bradley attended Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn., on a volleyball scholarship.  However, after one season on the volleyball court, Bradley decided to walk-on to the Bison's basketball team and was a four-year letter winner.  As a captain in her senior season, Bradley played a vital role in leading Lipscomb to an Atlantic Sun Championship and the Bison's first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

A native of Durham, Calif., Bradley graduated from Lipscomb in 2003, with a degree in public relations.  She later earned a master's degree from the University of San Diego in organizational leadership with an emphasis on higher education.
