The William and Mary field hockey team fell on the road Friday night at James Madison, 3-0, despite a tough late-season effort. The Tribe is now 10-6 on the year and 3-3 in the Colonial Athletic Association, while the Dukes improve to 9-6 overall and 3-2 in league play.

W&M was led on the night by the senior duo of
Leah Zamesnik (Norfolk, Va.) and
Christine Johnson (Williamsburg, Va.), who each recorded two shots on-goal. Junior
Taylor Hodge (Louisville, Ky.) came off the bench to record a pair of tries as well, one of which was on-frame. On defense,
Liz Frey (Virginia Beach, Va.) made five stops and gave up two goals, while
Cate Johnson (Charlottesville, Va.) stopped another two and allowed in one.
William and Mary is back in action on Tuesday night, travelling to face No. 9 Old Dominion at 5 p.m. The first of two meetings with the Monarchs this week, Tuesday's match will not count towards the conference standings.
