Grace Golden has been selected to the 2010 Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List, marking the second consecutive season she has garnered the honor. The Tewaaraton Trophy recognizes the nation's top female and male collegiate lacrosse players and is awarded annually following the season. Watch list nominees are screened and chosen by a selection committee comprised of college coaches.
A two-time first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association selection, Golden has posted a strong start to the 2010 season and has already totaled nine points on six goals and three assists. Additionally, the Manhasset, N.Y., native has recorded 10 ground balls, seven draw controls and four caused turnovers.
One of the top players in school history, Golden already ranks 10th on W&M's career caused turnovers list (41). Additionally, she is rapidly closing in on the program's career top-10 lists for points (120), goals (95) and draw controls (72).
The 2010 Tewaaraton Trophy will be presented on June 3 at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.
