Tribe Field Hockey Falls to #3 Virginia, 3-0

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The William and Mary field hockey wrapped up its non-conference schedule Monday night in Charlottesville, falling to No. 3 Virginia by a 3-0 score. The Tribe now stands 3-12 on the season, while the Cavaliers improve to 12-2.

The Tribe defense continued to perform well, allowing only three goals in 21 shot attempts for Virginia. Sophomore Elizabeth Frey (Virginia Beach, Va.) made eight stops in goal, including five in the first half, raising her season total to 51 saves. Senior Jennifer Harr (Virginia Beach, Va.) had a shot at the Cavalier goal midway through the second half, but her attempt went just wide of the net.

William and Mary returns home for its final three matches of the regular season, beginning on Friday, october 22nd, with a 7 p.m. match-off against James Madison.
