Biography
After having been a
representative at the Student Athletic Advisory Committee's national
convention, Max was elected president of
the W&M SAAC where he has been a catalyst for their significant
increase in campus and community presence...In addition to founding the Tribe
Tutors elementary school program, Max was the vanguard of organizing our
gymnastics team's winter break canned food drives that have brought in over
5000 pounds of food and clothing items to local charities in the past two
years...In spite of shoulder problems that have limited his workout time, Max
earned All-ECAC honors, competed on vaulting, and finished the season with our
top hit percentage... He finishes his career ranked ninth in our all-time records
on the rings...Max is the son of George and Teresa Sabert and was coached by
Keith Pettit and Norm Stulz at Queen City Gymnastics ...He has earned second team
Scholastic All-American honors while obtaining a degree in finance...At
Commencement, Max was one of only 34 undergraduate and graduate students to
receive the Benjamin Stoddert Ewell Award honoring well-rounded graduating
students who best exemplify a liberal arts education through their activities
and academic studies...Next year he will hit the ground running in New York City
while working for UBS in their professional financial service program.
