As our clear cut academic leader in the gym, Matt kept the gymnastics team's scholar-athlete tradition alive and well as a double major in computer science and public policy. Matt's best events have always been pommel horse, parallel bars and rings where he was a state medalist...He was coached by Steve Babcock and Scott Burns at the California Sports Center.... On his way to becoming a four time first team Academic All-American, Matt helped lead the 2008 team to the national academic title and the 2009 team to a second place finish... He is also a four time W&M Provost Award recipient...Matt is the son of Jack and Karen Holmes and is engaged to Jessica Dickinson Goodman...Over the summer Matt will be busy finishing up wedding plans while working for a Chinese telecom corporation back in the Silicon Valley...Next year Matt will be working in the Pittsburgh area while Jessica finishes her degree at Carnegie Mellon.
